Parameters:

al - The application layer(if there is a application layer)

ft - The featuretype that must be used to get the features

fs - The featureSource

q - The query

sort - The attribute name that is used to sort

dir - Sort direction (DESC or ASC)

Returns:

JSONArray with features.

Throws:

IOException - if any

org.json.JSONException - if transforming to json fails

Exception - if any
